Dawson Creek RCMP investigating ATM theft

Dawson Creek RCMP are asking the public for any information that could help locate a vehicle believed to be associated with the early morning theft of an ATM.

The ATM was allegedly stolen from the Money Mart located on Alaska Ave. in Dawson Creek. It was recovered near Grande Prairie later in the day by RCMP.

Three suspects drove into the front window of the Money Mart and took the ATM. Police located two stolen vehicles associated to the theft, and believe that a third stolen vehicle is still out there.

The vehicle is a 2001 white Dodge pickup truck. It has chrome along the wheel wells, along the truck bed, and has a tidy tank in the box of the pickup truck.

It has a BC licence plate, reading HP 3284.

Police advise that there has been a series of ATM thefts in the Peace Region in the past month, with thefts in Grande Prairie, Fairview, Spirit River and Fahler along with Dawson Creek.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Dawson Creek RCMP or Crimestoppers.
