A 28 year old male resident of Valleyview is facing a number of charges after an investigation by Grande Prairie RCMP relating to break and enters. On August 3 police responded to a complaint on a rural property near Range Road 31 and Township Road 742.

The suspect was allegedly seen stealing a quad by the owner and eventually abandoned the vehicle after being pursued.

The next day reports of further break and enters came to police and the suspect was again seen by residents in the area. The individual was identified as the same suspect from the previous day.

Ryan Fortier is in custody and will be making an appearance in court on August 10. He’s facing charges of Break and Enter, Possession of Stolen Property, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Theft over $5,000.
