$500,000 going towards improvements for Dawson Creek Curling Club

Help is coming in the form of $500,000 for improvements to the Dawson Creek Curling Club. Prince George-Peace River MP Bob Zimmer made the announcement today on behalf of the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.

Dawson Creek Mayor Dale Bumstead said in a release that the money will help in offsetting the $1.5 million cost to replace the cement pad at the facility, and refrigeration lines along the rink.

Work on the project is expected to take place in the summer of 2017.
