Othman Ayed Hamdan was denied bail this morning by Judge Richard Blaskovits. Hamdan will be kept in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for September 2 at 9:30 a.m.
The 33-year-old is facing six counts of counselling to commit murder and assault causing bodily harm on behalf of a terrorist group for posts he’s alleged to have made on social media between September 2014 and July of this year.
There is a publication ban in place over the case which prevents details on information being provided.
Othman was arrested back on July 10.
