If you live in the rural area surrounding Fort St. John, you have until Monday to participate in the North Peace Official Community Plan run by the Peace River Regional District.

Area C Director Brad Sperling, Chair of the North Peace Fringe Area OCP Steering Committee, encourages everyone with an interest to take part in this process.

“The rural areas around Fort St. John and Taylor are experiencing significant growth pressure and our planning needs to keep pace. This update to the official community plan will help better deal with growth, while protecting the qualities of rural life we enjoy. To facilitate that, we need residents to share their experience living, working and playing in the rural area,” said Sperling.

In June the Regional District held two workshops and several open houses around the region to gather public input.  If you missed one of those meetings you can complete an online survey.  The deadline to complete the survey is Monday July 13, 2015.  You can complete the survey at northpeaceocp.metroquest.ca.
