NPSCU picks up pair of marketing awards

They kept their name, but changed their brand, and now they’re picking up awards.

The North Peace Savings & Credit Union announced in a release that it recently received a pair of Achievement in Marketing Excellence Awards from the Marketing Association of Credit Unions for its rebranding campaign.

The credit union says it received the top award in the “Coordinated Campaigns” category, after redesigning its logo and changing its slogan to “It’s Your Life, Build it Here.”

It also received second place under the “Social and Viral Media Campaigns” category.

“Our new slogan embodies our belief that by encouraging the success and well-being of our member-owners, our staff and our community, and the support we offer local businesses, we contribute to greater member prosperity, a healthy local economy and a better quality of life for all,” CEO Mitchel Chilcott said in the release.

The credit union had been working on its rebrand for several years, and at one time, considered changing its name to Adaptiv Credit Union. Members voted on the change last winter, but the proposal did not receive enough votes to proceed with the change.
