Canadian teen to learn if Miami judge will give him bail pending murder trial

MIAMI — Canada’s consul general to Miami finds out today if she can take her 15-year-old son home while he awaits trial on murder charges.

Roxanne Dube has told the court she can be trusted to supervise her son Marc Wabafiyebazu if he’s released.

She has promised to put up $25,000 in bail money, saying she has no doubt he is innocent.

Police allege Wabafiyebazu was in on a botched robbery that left his older brother and another man dead.

The teen has pleaded not guilty.

Judge Teresa Pooler will decide if Wabafiyebazu can have bail, and, if so, under what conditions.
