Peace River Valley ranks second on Heritage Canada’s top 10 endangered places list

Heritage Canada The National Trust released their list yesterday for 2015’s most endangered places. The top 10 featured the Peace River Valley relating to the construction of the Site C dam.

The organization notes that archaeological evidence and oral history indicates at least 10,500 years of human occupation. It also makes reference to protests against the project from First Nations, area landowners, and wildlife protection agencies.
