This holiday season, all of our Supporters are entered to win an $800 Shopping Spree Giveaway!

At yesterday’s Fort St. John City Council meeting, Council approved a recommendation that will see a transitional community gathering space placed on the vacant lot at the corner of 100 Street and 100 Avenue. The space will be covered in grass with a gravel path. There will be six benches, and waste bins along the path.

It’s estimated that the project will be completed by the end of July at a cost of $40,000, however the seeded areas will take until next spring to mature. The funds will come from the infrastructure reserve.

Council debated adding an irrigation system to the project. Adding the system would add $20,000 to the project.
