2 cyclists, 1 passenger killed in alleged impaired driving incident in B.C.

PEMBERTON, B.C. — Police say three people are dead after a driver who investigators believe was impaired struck a group of cyclists northeast of Whistler, B.C.

RCMP say a man drove into three people cycling on Highway 99, killing two of them _ a passenger in his own vehicle also died.

The driver has been airlifted to hospital.

Police have not released the names of anyone involved in the crash.

The Mounties say Highway 99 will be closed for an extended period of time.
