“A group of friends had been out quadding approximately 10 to 20 km south of Grande Prairie off of the Canfor Haul Road,” writes Cpl. Roy Kennedy. “When the group arrived back at their vehicles, they realized that one member of their group, Craig Paul Drysdale, 28, was no longer with them.”
The group spent four to five hours conducting an exhaustive search of the area, but were unable to find him, says Kennedy.
“RCMP has been in the area all day,” writes Kennedy. “Presently there are a number of helicopters, Technical Search and Rescue, along with SRD assisting with the search.”
The team have located Drysadale’s quad but have yet to find Drysdale himself.
Police are asking anyone who might be recreating or working in the area 25 km southeast of Grande Prairie on the Canfor Haul Road to be observant for anyone who might appear lost or disoriented.
