Publicist Jessalyn Aitken says this year was “a fantastic turnout” as the local skaters dressed in Who-like costumes in the spirit of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
“The props and decorations were stunning,” writes Aitken. “Kelly Basisty joined the club as a guest skater which provided many thrills for the audience – even including a light show with one of his programs.”
Basisty is a Fort St. John local who has been skating since he was 8-years-old and currently competes on a national level.
This year’s ice show marked the last for two skaters gearing up for high school graduation – Halla Aitken and Amy Utz.
“Both of the girls performed beautifully in spite of the emotion of this fact.”
The club thanking is thanking their many sponsors and the attendees who came out to support the show.
