Gusts southwesterly winds this afternoon.

A deepening area of low pressure is forecast to cross the Central Interior today, following a path from Burns Lake northeastwards to the BC Peace River region. Strong southwesterly winds are expected to develop and wind gusts approaching 80 km/h could occur this afternoon. Depending on the track and intensity of the low in question, wind warnings may be required. Please refer to public forecasts for additional details.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.

Wind warnings are issued when winds are expected to exceed 70 km/h sustained, or gusts of 90 km/h.
