The N.E. B.C. and Yukon Trackers had been selling 50/50 tickets as a means of fundraising for their upcoming trip to Comox to compete in provincials for the first time in the team’s history. The winner of the draw and the $10,000 that went along with it was Fort St. John resident Joy Lindstrom.
The first game for the team will be on Sunday as they take on Kelowna at 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The team’s progress can be monitored on the B.C. hockey website, and games are expected to be streamed on the link provided.
Following their opener on Sunday the Trackers will square off against Prince George on Monday, Seafair and Nanaimo on Tuesday, North Vancouver on Wednesday, and Comox Valley a week from today.
