Current details:
A long period of snowfall, with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected. A Pacific warm front will spread snow to northern BC this afternoon. The snow will persist through tonight and Friday resulting in total accumulations of 15 to 20 cm. In the town of Fort Nelson the total amount will be 10 to 15 cm.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight. Snowfall Warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected. Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
