The Fort St. John Ross H. MacLean Flyers hosted the Grande Prairie Knights yesterday afternoon at the Pomeroy Sport Centre. The home team showed why they are in first place in their division as they won convincingly 7-3.

The Flyers opened the scoring less than three minutes into the first period and held a 3-1 lead after the frame.

As the second got underway Fort St. John went to work on increasing their lead. They scored twice to go up 5-1 but Grande Prairie added one of their own to make the score 5-2.

The third period was more of the same as Fort St. John would score twice again. Grande Prairie added a tally on their own in the final stanza.

Scoring for the Flyers were John Herrington, Zachary Peters, Nathan Brownlee (2), Devan Minard, Kurtis Lee, and Noah Lang.

The Flyers sit in first place in the Rural Black North division with a 14-4-0 mark.
