The fifth annual Peace Glass Open five pin bowling tournament will be held from March 13-15. Those wanting to take part can enter solo or as part of a doubles team and cash prizes will be awarded to the winners, including $10,000 for the top singles finisher.
“It’s going to be one of the biggest in Canada this year. We’re looking at bringing in some of the top bowlers from western Canada and a few from out east that are thinking of coming,” said tournament director Jeremy Clothier. “Anybody is more than welcome to come try. We encourage anyone around that has bowled in the past, hasn’t bowled in the past to come out and try their luck.”
Qualifying games will start at 1 p.m. on March 13, and doubles games will begin at 8 p.m. Matches will continue on March 14, and will be followed by an investment seminar. Championship games will be March 15 starting at 10 a.m.
Fees to enter the event at Fort Bowling Lanes are $200 for singles, and $100 for doubles teams.
