“My top priority – number 1 is the sewer system out here, we’ve got a little problem,” Sperling said of his victory. “That is number 1; that needs to be solved immediately.”
Sperling adds, “After that, I want to start meeting with the Directors, City of Fort St. John, and start doing the things I promised I would do during the campaign.”
When asked what can be done to strengthen the relationship between the city and regional district, Sperling said “We just need to get together and put our heads together.”
Sperling concludes by affirming his respect towards Bergen, saying that he plans to work with him in the future and “swap ideas.”
“When the person puts their name up to run, you got to listen to them – win or lose.”
