In Fort St. John, the Royal Canadian Legion will commence their parade at 10:00 a.m. from the parking lot, running down 100th Street to RBC and back to the Legion. The official service will then start at 11:00 a.m., followed by activities and events throughout the afternoon.
The Ladies Aux is also hosting a supper at the Legion, starting at 5:00 p.m., followed by a dance running 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Roads will be closed in Fort St. John for the parade. Â Here are the roads that will be closed

- 100th Street (between 105th Avenue and 103rd Avenue)
- 103rd Avenue (between 100th Street and 102nd Street)
- 102nd Street (between 105th Avenue and 103rd Avenue)

Next we note, members of the Hudson’s Hope community should meet at the district office’s cenotaph at 10:45 a.m.
The ceremony will be hosted by Mayor Gwen Johansson, with a Flanders Field reading by Pastor Tim Viers and a prayer read by Rev Fay Lavalle.
There is also a 6:00 p.m., veterans only dinner at the Hudson’s Hope Community Hall. If you are a veteran but not sure if you’re on the invitation list, contact the district office at 250 783 9901.
Of course there will two-minutes of silence, as well and the laying of wreaths by veterans, the RCMP, the Hudson’s Hope Junior Canadian Rangers and the fire department to name a few. Finally, Taylor’s Remembrance Day ceremony will begin at 10:40 a.m. with a march from the Taylor Arena to the District Hall.
Fire Chief Alan Stebbing will be singing O Canada and Pastor Wally Pohlmann will be directing the opening prayer.
After the two minutes of silence, there will be a Canadian Legion Tribute, speech by Mayor Fred Jarvis, and the laying of wreaths at the cenotaph before a light lunch is served in the Taylor Hall.
As tradition, two minutes of silence is observed across the nation at 11:00 a.m. to remember those who have served our country.
