Executive Director of the Fort St. John and District Chamber of Commerce Lilia Hansen said all candidates from Fort St. John and the surrounding area have been invited to take part but the Chamber is still waiting to hear back on confirmation.
“We’ve invited candidates not only in our municipal Fort St. John, but the districts of Hudson’s Hope, Taylor, and electoral regional districts to participate if they wish. We’re waiting to hear back on a lot of names because this is still really new.” she stated.
Candidates will have until October 29 to let their intentions be known if they will be participating. Chamber members will have the opportunity to ask questions in advance of the event. Questions from the floor will also be taken from the floor at the event, and candidates that do take part will also have the chance to explain their platform.
Anyone is welcome to attend as there will be no fees charged or tickets sold.
