On Sunday the two teams met again with the Flyers coming out on fire as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Both teams traded two goals each in the second, and the Thunder outscored the Flyers in the third period 2-1.
Scoring on Sunday for the Trackers were Mathew Apsassin (2), Nolan Legace, Tyler Krane, Jack Blisner, Jacob Lang, and Kole Comin.

Trackers coach Shawn Brinsky weighed in on the weekend and was happy with the effort put in by the team but knows there is still improvements to be made.
“The boys played well given our limited time to get to know each other and play together. We definitely showed that we have a fast team. We focused on speed and putting pressure on the puck and getting to the puck first,” he explained. “There was moments that we dominated for periods of time but when we took the foot off the pedal that’s when we allowed the other team to take the momentum back and get back into the game.”
The Trackers next game is on Sunday in Grande Prairie at 3 p.m. Their first home game of the season will be in Fort St. John on October 25 against the Fort McMurray Barons.
