Before his time with the Capitals, Pimm spent time closing out his college career last season before joining the Milwaukee Admirals on an amateur try out back in April.

Pimm ended his college playing career with 42 goals and 43 assists in 139 games. He received the Paul Hines Award for his efforts this year with Northeastern which is awarded to the most improved player New England.

As for Robertson he was the team captain for the Brown Bears last season where he registered six goals and 11 assists along with a plus minus rating of plus 11. He led the team with 56 blocked shots and had 78 penalty minutes. He was a first-team All-Ivy League selection as a senior, and a finalist for the ECAC Best Defensive Defenseman.

Originally a sixth round draft pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2011, Robertson was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes as part of a deal that saw John-Michael Liles sent to Carolina for Tim Gleason.

The Capitals open their pre-season schedule this Sunday at home against the Buffalo Sabres, while the Hurricanes also open the pre-season on Sunday with a tilt against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
