City on pace for driest August on record

Outside of a small 30 per cent chance of showers today it appears as though the total will not fluctuate much with no rain anticipated before the start of September. The monthly norm for August is 51 millimetres, meaning that Fort St. John has registered less than six per cent of the normal value.

Monthly records go back to 1942 at the local airport.
