September 2nd marks the kick off of a 9 month series of events and activities leading up to the commemoration of the 25th anniversary on June 22, 2015.

The public festivities get underway at 1:00 p.m. on September 2nd with a tree planting in the Ceremonial Loop in front of UNBC’s Prince George campus.

“Founders and First Nations representatives will dig the hole, alumni and students will plant the tree, and children from UNBC daycare will fill in the dirt, representing the past, present, and future of our university,” a press release reads.

There will also be live music after the tree planting and campus tours will be available at 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
