“The compressor we’re taking offline is really old and its got a bad motor, and we’re not taking in all the gas that we can,” Operation Manager of AltaGas, Randy Merk said. “So, we’re just actually putting a new one in that can take more gas and be more reliable.”

Merk says while a burn pit will be operating during the process, the community shouldn’t be affected by any smell, noise or other disturbances.

The process is set to begin at 2:30 a.m. and should wrap-up sometime around 8:30 p.m.
