In fact, the city is well on its way to its best year since 2011, when the $270 million February permit for the new hospital, left the 7 month total at $302.3 million.
The latest numbers from the City of Fort St. John show 45 permits were issued last month for more than $20 million.
That compares favorably to the 37 issued for $12.8 million in the same month last year.
It also pushes the year-to-date 7 month totals to 209 permits, worth $90.3 million.
The 2013 totals were 169 permits, worth $56.4 million.
Not surprisingly, city revenue is also up significantly; with the year to date total slightly more than $478,000, as compared to about $284,000 last year.
