Residents of Hudson’s Hope are now permitted to return home

This is partially due to the rain and weather conditions, as well as a decrease in the fire’s aggressive behaviour.

However, the municipality remains on evacuation alert and residents are being advised to prepare for another evacuation at moment’s notice should it be deemed necessary.

Highway 29 from Chetwynd to Hudson’s Hope has been re-opened.

Further information will be posted on the District of Hudson’s Hope Facebook page and website at as it becomes available. You can also call the municipal office at 250 783 9901.
