This is partially due to the rain and weather conditions, as well as a decrease in the fire’s aggressive behaviour.
However, the municipality remains on evacuation alert and residents are being advised to prepare for another evacuation at moment’s notice should it be deemed necessary.
Highway 29 from Chetwynd to Hudson’s Hope has been re-opened.
