Taylor “solves doctor shortage” with hybrid delivery model

“This is an important step in the history of B.C. healthcare,” a press release reads. “As a municipality, Taylor is leading the way, to show other northern communities how this revolutionary delivery model can assure primary care is available to their residents.”

Taylor has hired the telehealth provider Livecare, a doctor owned B.C. company, and can now bring health care and medical services back to approximately 20,000 unattached patients.

Those patients can start seeing a doctor on June 9, 2014.

The clinic is the first of its kind in B.C., offering both onsite doctor visits and remote telehealth visits for residents and local industry.
