The largest, reaching 3.5 hectares, was reported in the Dawson Creek Fire Zone.

At last report, 4 of the 9 fires were extinguished, with the others either in the mop-up or patrol stage.

Since April 1, the beginning of the current season, the province wide, 6 centre total has reached 298 wild fires, with a burn total of 566 hectares.

The Prince George Centre has recorded the second highest fire total of 86, trailing only the Kamloops Centre with 89.

However, the Prince George Centre is the runaway burn total leader with nearly 4900 hectares or about 88 per cent of the provincial total.
