Speaking in Vancouver, Bennett told the Annual General Meeting of Clean Energy B.C. that he expects the government will know in September whether the third dam on the Peace River will get federal and provincial environmental assessment approval.
Bennett says he’ll have to make a recommendation to cabinet and that the decision won’t be an easy one for his colleagues.
Bennett also says there could be as many as 10 mining projects under construction in the province by 2017, and in addition to all that, liquefied natural gas remains the key to the province’s economic future.
