Dana Cranston and Team Canada qualify for World Championships

The team started the tournament with a game against Jamaica. It was a game that the Canadians handled easily as they won in three sets 25-9, 25-10, and 25-09.

In their next contest they squared off against against Mexico for a much stiffer test but again Canada came out on top. They won in four sets 25-16, 25-20, 20-25, and 25-23.

In their final round robin game the team took on the US Virgin Islands. The game was another three set win for Canada as they took the game 25-12, 25-9, and 25-11.

With their 3-0 record Cranston and Canada reserved their spot in the finals for a rematch against Mexico. Again it was Canada coming on top, this time in three sets as they took the game 25-16, 25-19, and 25-17.

The team will now take part in the FIVB World Championships in Italy from September 23 until October 12.
