Six of the permits were for commercial developments, including the construction of a new hotel on the Alaska Highway, and they represented the biggest slice of the total value, at 11.7 million.
The April total nearly doubled the total for the same month last year, which was 9.8 million, and was also generated from a total of 30 permits.
In addition, it was more than the total for the first third of 2013, which was posted as $17.5 million.
On a year-over-year basis, for all intent and purposes, this year’s four month total, is double that amount, at $34.9 million.
The same can be said for the revenue generated for the city, which this year is better than $175,000, as compared to last year’s total, of only $88,000.
