Rain and local snow will develop tonight and persist through Wednesday with significant rainfall amounts and local snow accumulations expected.
A moist front is expected to move into Northeastern British Columbia tonight and will stall through Wednesday. Rain will develop tonight and become heavy at times on Tuesday. Total rainfall of up to 50 mm can be expected by Wednesday night or Thursday morning when the front eventually weakens and moves out of the region. Areas near the Rockies will receive the heaviest rainfall.
Furthermore, rain will change to snow at night especially over the higher terrain with local snow accumulations of 15 to 25 cm possible by Wednesday night.
