Brad Stewart excited to be part of main event on local Fivestar fight card

Stewart says that he’s been training a lot leading up to his fight and is working on making sure he has a well rounded game for when he steps into the octagon.

“It’s been going good. I’m able to get into the gym every night. I’ve been getting in better shape and things are getting crisp,” he says. “This is a really good camp and I’m excited to fight in front of everybody I know. Cody is a good fight for my home town fight.”

He’s been focusing his training on muay-thai, jiu jitsu, and wrestling. He adds that Krahn also has a well rounded skill set which should make for a great main event.

“He’s an all around fighter. I don’t think he’s particularly better in any one area. His stand up is just as good as his jiu jitsu,” Stewart explains. “He’s not a guy that’s just one dimensional. He’ll fight you anywhere. I think it’s going to be a pretty good stand up fight.”

As far as being the hometown kid main eventing a local fight card goes, Stewart is excited about showing off his skills in front of friends and family. He says he’s always wanted the opportunity to fight in front of local fans and friends.

“It’s awesome. I’m real proud to be out there, it’s going to be exciting. Everyone I know is going to be out there and everyone I work with is going to be there. It’s pretty cool. This is a place I’ve wanted to fight ever since I started.”
