Pedestrian Struck By Truck Downtown Thursday

RCMP Corporal Jodie Shelkie says a vehicle collided with a pedestrian at 100th Avenue and 100th Street at around 5pm.

“A 40-year-old female was clipped by a pick-up truck that was turning right.  The pedestrian suffered minor injuries, was taken to hospital, but released right away…and, the driver of the pick-up truck was charged with a violation ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian.”

Shelkie is remind the public, as the weather gets nicer, motorists need to keep an extra eye out for pedestrians and cyclists on roadways.
