Fort St. John resident rescued after snowmobile accident

One person was injured after entering a ravine in the area of kilometre 55 of the Moberly Forest Service Road near Silversands.

According to the RCMP, the sledder, a resident of Fort St. John, appeared to have suffered a spinal injury and required an airlift from the location.  North Peace Search and Rescue was activated to help in the search.  The group was located not far from the SPOT co-ordinates.

The full extent of the snowmobilers injuries are not known at this time, he was transported to the Fort St. John Hospital.
