Canada Stewart Energy Group Ltd. filed its 25-year LNG export licence application Wednesday to the National Energy Board.
The company is requesting permission to export B.C.’s natural gas to customers overseas where the demand for clean energy continues to grow.
British Columbia has a vast supply of natural gas to provide energy to new
markets.
There are currently seven approved export licenses for LNG projects in B.C. and four under review, including the submission made by Canada Stewart Energy Group Ltd.
Minister of Natural Gas Development Rich Coleman says,
“We welcome Stewart Energy to the Province. With another LNG export application submitted, we now have 11 proposals looking to export B.C.’s natural gas to markets in Asia. LNG is a generational opportunity to create
jobs, strong economic partnerships and long-term prosperity.”
