The Trackers found themselves down 2-1 at one point in the first period of Saturday’s game. The Trackers would score twice in the final five minutes however to lead 3-2 after 20 minutes.

They increased their lead to 5-2 before Slave Lake closed to within two goals midway through the frame. The Trackers blew the game open from that point on. They added four goals before the period was out and took a 9-4 lead to the dressing room.

The Trackers would go on to score twice in the third to take the 11-4 win.

Goals in the game were scored by Ryan Friesen (2), Matthew Apsassin (2), Alex Hanson, Brandon Howard, Jarrett Malchow, Nolan Lagace, Wes Shipton, and Layne Hunter.

Sunday the teams met once more and the game was a lot more even as there was no score after 40 minutes. Slave Lake found the back of the net first 29 seconds into the frame but it was all Trackers the rest of the way as they scored four unanswered goals.

Goals in Sunday’s tilt were scored by Wes Shipton, Jarrett Malchow, Jarrett Malchow, and Brysan Eklund.

The Trackers conclude their regular season on Friday night against the Grande Prairie Storm.
