In Saturday’s tilt the Flyers opened the scoring in the first but the game was tied shortly after as the teams went back to the room with the game tied at one.
The Flyers restored their one goal lead with just over five minutes left in the second, but the Yeti came back to tie things once again with 32 seconds remaining.
Fort Nelson would go on to take the lead with just under seven minutes left in the game, and would go on to wrap up the game with a final goal with 34 ticks to go.
Goals for the Flyers were scored by Jeff Shipton, and Jeff Fast.
Fort St. John found the back of the net first as game two got underway. Fort Nelson responded before time expired in the opening period and the teams again went to the dressing room at 1-1.
The Yeti took the lead in the second period less than four minutes in but Fort St. John tied things up with 2:24 left. The score remained dead locked at two heading into the final frame.
As the puck dropped on the third period got two goals in six minutes to take a 4-2 lead. The Yeti didn’t back down as they got within a goal but it was as close as they would get as the Flyers would add a final tally with 27 seconds left in the game.

The Flyers return to league play in the North Peace Hockey League with a game on Friday night against Hythe. The game gets started at 8:30 p.m. from the North Peace Arena.
