“It was pretty good Christmas news,” she says. “It’s really cool considering it’s our last baby. Out of the 650 babies a year born here, it’s awesome.”
Tucker Wyatt Wilson was born at the Fort St. John Hospital on January 2 at 8:33 a.m. weighing 9 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches.
As a city with one of the country’s highest birth rates, it was surprising that no babies were born in FortSt. John on January 1. However, Tucker’s birth got the ball rolling as at least three more babies were born at the hospital this morning.
Along with dad Sean Wilson, Tucker is joining a family with older brothers Aiden, 3, and Jaxon, who turns 2 this month, as well as two pet dogs.
Bigelow hopes to be released from hospital Friday, but admits it’s been a much nicer experience at the new hospital than at the old hospital, where Aiden and Jaxon were born.
“The rooms are so nice and private and big. It’s just more personable I think,” she explains. “If your baby’s up all night you don’t feel like you’re disturbing anyone else.”
Baby Tucker aside, 2014 is guaranteed to be a busy one for the young family, as Bigelow and Wilson are set to be married in September.
“It’s a good thing we have most of the wedding stuff done already,” says Wilson, with Bigelow chiming in, “We can handle it.”
