Site C public hearing in Chetwynd replaced with second in Hudson’s Hope

The public hearings begin in Fort St. John on December 9, with a welcome from the City, Treaty 8 Tribal Association and the Saulteau First Nations, and a presentation by B.C. Hydro in the morning. In the first few days some of the speakers include the Peace Valley Environmental Association, the Canadian Geothermal Energy Association, former Fort St. John Mayor Steve Thorlakson and Senator Richard Neufeld, and Peace River Regional District Area C Director Arthur Hadland.

After that the hearings run through several B.C. and Alberta Peace cities and Aboriginal communities. All are open for public observation.

When the public hearings are over, a report will be submitted to the federal Minister of the Environment and the Executive Director of the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office. The revised schedule is available for download below.
