North West Junior Hockey League weekend recap

On Friday night Fort St. John Huskies fell 3-1 to the North Peace Navigators. The Huskies goal was scored by Daylen Pearson with Owen Barker getting the assist. Daimon Derouin stopped 33 of 35 shots.

Rounding out Friday’s schedule, Sexsmith had their way with Beaverlodge 7-3. Five players for the Vipers had multi point games.

Two games were on tap on Saturday after the postponement between Slave Lake and Grande Prairie. Sexsmith once again took on Beaverlodge and took the game 5-2. Goaltender Nathan Batt stopped 24 of 26 shots for the Vipers.

The Dawson Creek Junior Canucks doubled up the Fairview Flyers 4-2. Connor Rose had three points in the game for Dawson Creek.

The lone game on Sunday had the North Peace Navigators taking on the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks. The Navs took the win 3-1. Talon Walton stopped 21 of 22 shots for North Peace.
