That lifted the month-to-date total to 37.2, and well past the December average of 32.4.

Since we had topped the precipitation norm in the first two days of the month, yesterday’s post of 7.2 millimetres put the total up to 36 for nine days, and on pace for a total of more than four times the monthly norm of 26.5.

These totals don’t include what we’ve received since midnight, and although we’re not expected to get much more snow today, we certainly are the following four days.

All this means that driving conditions have deteriorated, and are likely to get worse before they improve. So again, we remind you adjust your driving habits accordingly.
