The game was not a fun one for the Trackers, who found themselves down early in the contest. Grande Prairie opened the scoring less than three minutes into the first period, and led 5-0 after two periods to hold complete control of the game.
However, the Trackers did show some fight in the third period. Three goals in a four minute span brought things to 5-3, but the Storm scored with just under five minutes left to make the score 6-3.
Scoring goals for the Trackers yesterday were Alex Hanson, Ethan Buck, and Alex Hanson with a second. Assists went to Ricky Bateman, Matthew Apsassin, and Nolan Lagace.
Logan Edwards was in goal for the Trackers. He stopped 30 of the 36 shots he faced in the game.
The Trackers’ next game is November 15 against the SISEC Selects in Dawson Creek, while the next game in FortSt. John will be a rematch with the Selects the following day at the North Peace Arena. Game time is 2:15 p.m.
