Fort St. John
At the Fort St. John Legion, the day of remembrance will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade, which will be followed by a ceremony and wreath laying at 11 a.m. inside. Lunch will be provided at noon, followed by several activities for the public starting at 2 p.m.
Once again, public transit will be free in Fort St. John this Monday for residents making their way to the Legion for remembrance Days ceremonies. The free rides will be offered on routes #1 and #2, from 8:15 a.m. until 12:35 p.m., then again from 2:45 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. on November 11 only.
Customers who depend on the handyDart can also take advantage of free transit trips on Remembrance Day from 8 a.m. until noon, then again from 3:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Also Moose FM, 100.1 will air a special two our program honouring our veterans starting at 9 a.m. Monday.
At the District of Taylor : Remembrance Day Ceremony Monday November 11th. March starts at 10:15am from the Taylor Arena to the Taylor Community Centre. Special video presentation by the Department of National Defence, Mrs. Coopers Grade 2/3 class performance, Remembrance Day message by Constable Irvine and Prayer by Pastor Wally. Laying of the wreaths outside at the Cenotaph after the Ceremony. Light lunch served inside Taylor Community Hall accompanied by the music of the Fort St John Pipe Band. The ceremony will once again be held in Unchagah Hall at Dawson Creek Secondary School at 10:30 a.m. The service will start off with the Marching On of The Colours, the singing of O’Canada, the playing of the Last Post, two minutes of silence, the playing of The Lament, Reveille and the laying of wreaths in remembrance.
Remembrance Day Ceremony at the District Office Cenotaph on November 11th at 10:45 a.m. Goodies and treats to follow at the Community Hall. Everyone is welcome.
Then at 6:00 p.m., at the Hudson’s Hope Community Hall there will be a Veteran Day Dinner.

From the Tumbler Ridge News: Remembrance Day Ceremonies will once again happen at the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School at 1100 hours on November 11.
Veterans will be joined by members of the Junior Rangers, Tumbler Ridge Protective Services and other community members in a processional from the Royal Canadian Legion down to the high school before the ceremony at the high school begins.
Afterwards, everyone is invited to the Legion for a short ceremony at the cenotaph, then for lunch. Hot dogs and pop for the kids, and chili and stew for the adults. Lunch is provided at no charge for all who wish to join.
Services begin at 10:40 a.m. at the Community Hall in the Recreation Centre. The Elks Hall will be open afterwards for food and refreshments.
