North West Junior Hockey League recap November 9

The Fort St. John Huskies grinded out a 6-4 win over the Slave Lake Wolves last night. The team had only 10 skaters but scored two goals in the third to take the victory. Cayle Bell had three goals while Lien Miller-Jeannotte had two.

The Grande Prairie suffered their first loss of the year, albeit in overtime. The North Peace Navigators jumped out with three goals in the first period, however the JDA Kings stormed back with three of their own in the third. Samuel Lauzon had three assists as the Navigators won 5-4 in extra time.

The Dawson Creek Junior Canucks had their way with the Sexsmith Vipers 7-1. The Junior Canucks improved their record to 6-7, while the Vipers fell to 1-10-0-1.
