Body found at motocross track identified as 16 year old male

An investigation into the young man’s death is ongoing by local RCMP and the North District Major Crime Unit, and police are reaching out to the public for assistance.

“There are many officers working extremely hard to determine what happened to this youth,” says Corporal Jodi Shelkie. “We are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious during the late evening of November 23rd or early morning of November 24th at or near the motocross area to please give the RCMP a call at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.”

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of what is being considered a suspicious death.
