B.C. Conservative leadership candidate promises province-wide energy conferences

A Vancouver businessman and president of a public company that raises funds for resource exploration companies, Peterson says his current grassroots tour has clearly shown that an “anti-resource sentiment” clearly dominates mainstream media awareness in B.C.

He’s cited his past weekend’s anti-fracking demonstration in front of the premier’s home in Vancouver as being the latest example.

He’s named Vancouver, Victoria, Kamloops, Kelowna, and Prince George as other energy conference sites, and says the organizers will bring in large machinery to help create public awareness of the job opportunities in the sector, and the potential wealth and provincial tax revenue benefits.
