So unofficially it has recorded 53.3 centimetres so far this month, as opposed to 54.5 last November.

Meantime, we added only 0.4 millimetres of precipitation on Friday, raising that month-to-date total through yesterday to 50.3, two millimetres less than last year.

Although the current forecast suggests it will be Sunday, December 1st, before we post any new snowfall or precipitation totals of significance, it also suggests we could get enough today and Thursday to top last November’s totals by Saturday.

What is important to note again is both running totals this year are already well above the November averages of 30.3 centimetres of snow and 28.5 millimetres of precipitation.
