Vehicle recovered after theft at Totem Mall

The pick-up truck was found in the field south of Duncan Cran School.  The vehicle was reported stolen to the Fort St. John earlier in the day.

No stolen property was found in the pick-up but the RCMP Forensic Identification Section is searching for evidence that could lead to the identification of suspects.

At 3:50 a.m. on Tuesday November 5, the RCMP responded to a report of damage at the Totem Mall.  When police arrived on scene they found damage to both the mall and the store Apollo Avenue.

Video surveillance showed a vehicle drove through the main doors of the mall and then into the glass wall of Apollo Avenue.  Suspects then exited the vehicle and took an undisclosed amount of merchandise.

There were three suspects involved in the break and enter.  Two males exited the vehicle and were wearing black hoodies and blue jeans.  The third suspect was driving the vehicle.  It is unknown if the driver was male or female.

The RCMP is asking anyone who witnessed the break and enter or anything near Duncan Cran School to contact the RCMP at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.crimestoppersfsj.ca
